Education and Information The heart and soul of SETMA's approach to healthcare is your knowledge and understanding of your own health.  SETMA believes that the more you know about your health, the healthier you will be. SETMA sponsors the Live Doppler Radar on NBC, Channel 4. As SETMA looked for a way of serving the community, it became apparent that in health, the only thing which can hurt you is what you don't know. Our emphasis on preventive healthcare and evaluation, fit logically with the 4-Warned Life Doppler capabilities of the new weather system of Channel 4. SETMA invested with Channel 4, over $500,000 to bring you this function. As you are warned about coming hazardous weather conditions, remember that SETMA's diagnostic capabilities can help you avoid health hazards as well. Remember, what you don't know about your health can hurt you, and it can hurt you more seriously than what you don't know about the weather. SETMA also provides a weekly health column for The Examiner newspaper. As you read the Examiner and learn about new and old health issues, you will begin to see the principles and knowledge being applied to your care in the clinic. SETMA's Your Life Your Health articles appear on this website as well in The Examiner's archived records. SETMA's website will grow in its content of quality, accurate and useful information which will enable you to take charge of your own healthcare.  SETMA's special clinics will also provide participants with an educational booklet.  Several of these are already being successful used in the Congestive Heart Failure and Diabetes clinics.
